The Online Family Answers:You'll need to keep some of this paperwork to get tech support, return your computer, receive product rebates, or in the event your equipment is stolen. First, create a binder just for your computer documentation. You can slip bulkier items into sheet protectors so you don't have to punch holes in them. Here's what to save: Keep the original product manuals and any set-up instructions. Also cut or peel the product serial number off the box and keep it, too. File your proof of purchase and receipt in the binder. Keep a copy of any rebate forms until you receive your check. Also use sheet protectors or CD holders made just for binders to store any CDs that came with your product -- along with their serial numbers -- so they'll be easy to find if you need them again. To play it safe, keep the product box for up to 90 days -- just in case you have to return it. Family FAQ archivesWe'd like to hear from you.
